Arrive in London and clear customs and immigration. Meet your driver and guide in the arrivals area and board your motorcoach for Windsor Castle. Tour the castle and St. George’s Chapel, burial site of King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth II. Continue to Canterbury to check into your accommodation. (Preference given to the Canterbury Lodge – located within the close of Canterbury Cathedral). Enjoy a group dinner and pray Compline, before retiring for the evening.

After breakfast, travel to Canterbury Cathedral for the morning service of Holy Eucharist. Following the service have some free time for lunch. Then, travel to nearby St. Augustine’s Abbey to learn more about the saint and bringer of Christianity to the region. Return to the Cathedral and take your seats for a Festal Evensong. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Following breakfast and Morning Prayer, spend another day in Canterbury, exploring site associated with St. Thomas Becket. Take a special guided tour to uncover the full story of the saint and his martyrdom within the Cathedral. Lunch will be on your own, and time will be set aside to explore the area near the Cathedral. In the afternoon, visit Canterbury Tales, a local museum dedicated to the famous text by Geoffrey Chaucer. Follow one of the well-established pilgrim paths for a walk, in the footsteps of pilgrims of the past. Return to the Cathedral to attend Evensong, followed by a group dinner and an evening activity. After breakfast, enjoy a day trip to the English Channel. Morning Prayer can be said on the coach. Travel to Dover to visit see the White Cliffs. Visit Dover Castle and tour the recently unclassified “Wartime Tunnels” from which the D-Day invasion of WWII was orchestrated. Return to Canterbury for lunch. In the afternoon, visit St. Martin’s Church, the oldest house of worship in Canterbury and in all of England (built before the year 597 AD). Walk back to Canterbury Cathedral and have some time before Evensong to freshen up. Attend Evensong and enjoy a group dinner before returning to the Cathedral for a private Evening Tour, after the building is closed for the night.

After breakfast and morning prayer. Spend some time exploring Canterbury. Travel to St. Paul’s without the Walls for a 10:30 am service of Holy Eucharist. Lunch will be on your own. In the afternoon, travel to Chilham and walk the 7-mile pilgrim’s path into the city to the Cathedral. Have some time for rest and to clean up before attending Evensong at the Cathedral. A group dinner will be followed by an evening activity and a service of Compline.

Following breakfast, visit (if possible) the King’s School, a top public (or what we would call a private boarding school) school in England. Tour the school. If available, meet in the school’s memorial chapel for a private service of Holy Eucharist. Lunch will be on your own. In the afternoon, travel to Rochester, an important stop on the Way of Thomas Becket pilgrimage route, to visit Rochester Castle. Return to Canterbury to attend a final service of Evensong in the Mother Church of the Anglican Communion. Enjoy a group dinner and return to the Cathedral for a candlelight pilgrimage through the darkened Cathedral, followed by Compline.

Following breakfast, check out of your accommodation and load your motorcoach for London. Upon arrival, enjoy a short panoramic coach tour of the city ending at Westminster Abbey, where you will have a guided tour. Then, pending confirmation, visit Lambeth Palace, the home of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Have lunch on your own and then travel to St. Paul’s for a tour and a service of Evensong. Check into your London area accommodation and enjoy a celebration dinner and a closing service of Compline.
